What that looks like
Say you’re learning a fingerstyle pattern from a song you love. Once it clicks, we might change a chord, shift the rhythm, or play it under a melody you come up with. Same lesson, same song, but now you’ve got something that’s yours, and a new habit you’ll carry into everything you play.

It’s easy to pick up other players’ habits every time you learn a new song. I help students develop a voice of their own, so they sound like themselves whether they’re playing an original or a cover.
Built around each student
No two students learn the same way. Age, experience, favorite music, and goals all shape what we work on, and every lesson is planned ahead so our time together is focused. Whether that means learning a first song, recording a guitar part, or getting ready to play in a band, we’ll get there together. And how far you take the writing side is always up to you.
